Back in May of 2026, David Flash was walking in his neighborhood around 1AM. He has made posts online about that night ever since, trying to claim he was mistreated by the Williamson County Sheriffs Department. According to David, he was stopped because someone had called in stating someone was looking in cars in his neighborhood. Luckily for the people of Leander, the Sheriffs Department has the resources to respond to a call like this. Deputy Little responded and found David walking around. The deputy stopped David to ask him what he was up to. Seems simple enough, but David couldn’t handle it. He immediately began to escalate. He posted online saying he called someone from the neighborhood and asked them to come observe and that when they did, they agreed that he was being mistreated. His posted about the incident seem unhinged. Here is one of the many where he claims the Wilco Sheriff is messing with “the wrong mother effer.”

In another post he makes up a story about it being illegal to walk after dark in Leander. Flash was simply detained briefly because of a report of crime nearby. The incident could have lasted only a minute or two, but David escalated for about 15 minutes, requiring a total of four deputies and three cruisers to respond to the incident.

David continues to attack the Williamson County Sheriffs Department to this day. He has focused mainly on Deputy Little, who he enjoys calling “Little Sheriff.” Afte viewing video of the incident, it’s clear the deputy remained calm and professional the whole time. Flash has been using the incident to gain clicks on his AI slop websites and his social media pages. It’s a truly terrible thing that David is doing here.

People who live in David’s neighborhood have contacted Big Bend Times Dot Org to inform us of his craziness. He is well known in the neighborhood. When he wrote that he called someone to come observe, we knew right away that there’s only one person who that could be. Mr. Flash lives with his mother. She arrived in her night gown and in the video she can be seen attempting to talk sense into David, but he doesn’t listen.

People sometimes experience difficult encounters with law enforcement. It’s a part of life in a free society. Sometimes these encounters require people to file complaints against the officers charged with protecting them. For someone like David Flash to exploit that scenario for his own clickbait operation is extremely unfair. Law enforcement does not deserve to have people like Flash making up stories about being harassed just so they can profit of those false narratives. Flash was filming with his phone during the encounter, but he has only posted still images from that night. We requested the video and received it, and it demonstrates that what happened is not like what Flash says.
