The Word Waffle On Facebook

If any of you out there noticed out FB pages were taken down earlier today, there’s an interesting story about that. If course the AI slop blogger surely reports our pages over and over the same way he sends people repeated friend requests. Today we posted with our staff reporter’s personal account about a raffle benefiting graduating seniors next spring. The prize is a rifle. Well unbeknownst to us, Facebook considers announcing raffles Internet Gambling. No fault of Facebook, they have to be careful about things. And since the post mentioned high school seniors and a rifle, their AI surely flagged it for those keywords as well.

As soon as we posted it, Facebook asked our reporter to confirm his identity and he went through the process. After uploading a pic of the drivers license, FB suspended the account, and along with that our pages were suspended. We immediately went through the appeals process and are waiting to see the result. Hopefully Facebook will understand it was a simple mistake and reinstate the account and our pages.

Since David Flash seems to be a malignant narcissist, he is trying to make this all about him. He has already generated an article on his AI slop blog claiming this is all due to “personal attacks” as thought that isn’t what he is constantly doing on his pages. He also claims we are using his business name, even though Big Bend Times (Now Big Bend Reporter, LOL) was never a register business. He has an online masters degree from ASU in Digital Audience Strategy, but not enough sense to register his business names. He also operates blog Tex Reporter, which is not a real business name either.

Facebook says they will rule on our appeal within a day or two. Hope to see everyone on Facebook again very soon!
