One Year Later: Support Local Journalism, Support Big Bend Times Dot Org

It’s been a year and we want to sincerely thank everyone for all of the support. Jeff Davis County, and the rest of The Big Bend, had been worried about how much damage David Flash might do to our community. People felt defenseless against someone with the intention to use our community to create division and angst, just so he could profit from clicks online. When The Dot Org went live, people began to feel hope again. The community finally had something to rally around and a way to fight back. A lot of people have asked how they can help keep journalism local in Jeff Davis County. We have a few things to suggest.

Follow Us on Facebook
That’s right folks, we broke down and created a Facebook account after well over a decade away. Check there for updates throughout the day covering a number of subjects that we might not focus on here at The Dot Org.

Contribute Via Our GoFundMe
Contributions can now be made via our GoFundMe campaign. We will take a dollar, 5 dollars, or whatever you want to give. Proceeds will contribute to local journalism in The Big Bend. We are hoping for a large number of contributions. If we get a large number of dollars as well that will of course be great. But it’s the number of people that give, no matter what amount, that we care about.
