“Barr has enjoyed a 25-year career that has prepared him to be a qualified conservative judge. Barr started his private practice in New Braunfels in 2000, representing clients in a variety of civil and criminal matters. In 2003, former Comal County Criminal District Attorney Dib Waldrip hired Barr as an Assistant District Attorney and later promoted him to Chief Civil Prosecutor. In that role, Barr represented Comal County and Commissioners Court on a vast array of issues, including the creation of an ordinance that, to this day, discourages sexually-oriented businesses from operating in Comal County…”
One may be wondering why the editorial team at Big Bend Times Dot Org would be making endorsements related to elections in Comal County. Honestly, we know very little about Barr. We first heard of Geoff Barr when he came to Jeff Davis County to represent the county in the prosecution of David Wayne Flash for the charge of Harassment, Repeated Digital Communications.
David Wayne Flash has a long history of trying to smear people. He claims to be a journalist, but his websites are all AI slop. There’s no reporting there. Just content stolen from real journalists and content creators reposted on his site, and his grudge articles. Well, David has found a new grudge. He has decided to go after Geoff Barr for the great crime of representing Jeff Davis County in the case against Flash. He is posting about Barr on his AI slop websites, and all over FB. Flash of course writes these mad rantings in the 3rd person so that people on FB, that don’t already have him blocked, might get confused and think people other than David himself are saying things about Barr. He uses this tactic all the time. Rest assured, Geoff Barr has done nothing wrong in this situation. The only reason Barr is representing the county is that David Wayne Flash has already told so many lies about Jeff Davis County officials that they all recused themselves in this case.
